Founded in 1999, the Shenzhen Small and Medium Enterprises Development Promotion Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Promotion Association”) is one of the first comprehensive industry associations serving SMEs in Shenzhen. It has received numerous prestigious accolades, including “Shenzhen 5A‑Level Social Organization,” “National Advanced Social Organization,” “Shenzhen First‑Batch Benchmark Chamber of Commerce,” and “National Four‑Good Chamber of Commerce.” The Association is also recognized as a “Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Pilot Unit,” a “Guangdong Provincial Public Service Demonstration Platform for SMEs,” and a “Shenzhen Public Service Demonstration Platform for ‘Specialized and Innovative’ SMEs.”

For 25 years, the Promotion Association has provided specialized supporting services in areas such as market expansion, financing, and management training, helping member enterprises achieve high‑quality development. It currently has over 6,000 member companies, with more than 40% operating in strategic emerging industries such as new energy, biomedicine, and advanced materials.

In recent years, the Promotion Association has actively supported the efforts of government departments at all levels to carry out the gradient cultivation of high‑quality SMEs. To date, it has cultivated and served over 520 “Little Giant” enterprises, more than 4,400 specialized and innovative SMEs, and over 7,500 innovative SMEs.
